Ramada Plaza sits right in the thick of Deira's chaos—old-school souks and abra docks literally on your doorstep—which is brilliant if you want authentic Dubai without the Sheikh Zayed Road bubble, and rough if you need quiet. The rooms are decent value for the price point, the rooftop pool overlooks the creek, and it's one of the few 4-stars that won't drain your wallet while keeping you in the real pulse of the city.
